Iowa born and raised
Dalyn was born and raised in Iowa. He learned to love the outdoors and nature from his father, a high school biology teacher. His mother was a homemaker who taught him the value of hard work and striving for excellence. He was raised with the values of education, continuous learning and self-improvement, and service to others.
A life-long love of work and results
From an early age, Dalyn loved work and business.
“As a kid in fifth grade, I didn’t just have a paper route — I had three. Early in life I focused on business growth and results. That work-ethic drive, and a competitive nature, started very young and stayed with me throughout my career. I bring that same passion to helping my clients succeed.”
Driven by success and service
While Dalyn had explored joining the seminary and dedicating his life to ministry, a sage mentor recognized Dalyn had a natural talent for business. Dalyn worked nights and weekends during college to pay for bills.
Early in his career, he learned to explore data and information and use insight and analytics to envision improvement opportunities. He understood that results defined leadership. And to get results, a leader needed to inspire and develop the people he served.
Today, Dalyn resides in the Chicago suburbs with his wife of 38 years. He has two sons, one granddaughter, and one grandson. His passions are serving in his church, spending time with his family, personal trading activities, reading, hunting, and traveling. He remains a diehard Hawkeye sports fan, especially Hawkeye wrestling.

For more than 35 years, Dalyn has held c-suite and board positions where he developed and led teams to maximize their performance.
As a seasoned CEO for more than 17 years, Dalyn focused his career on identifying and creating business opportunities and hiring strong team players to execute strategy and increase shareholder value.
Dalyn inspired his organization and teams with vision, passion, and a culture of challenging organizational status quo to innovate and lead in the marketplace.
Dalyn is the former CEO of Hoogwegt U.S., a dairy ingredient marketing and trading company serving the food and feed processing and manufacturing industries in the US and 50 countries. Under Dalyn’s leadership, the company grew to a billion-dollar revenue.
Earlier in his career, Dalyn held Vice President-level roles at J.M. Swank Company, Inc., a multi-million-dollar industrial food ingredient distributor serving the food processing and manufacturing industries.
